What has/has not been cancelled/relaunched as a part of Marvel NOW!

This list will be frequently updated. And serve as a good guide since Marvel isn’t trashing every single book like DC did in the New 52. Or providing a decent list of what comics have been canned/relaunched.

KEY: Bold = confirmed/most definitely going to survive. Italics = CONFIRMED cancelled and/or relaunched

  1. Amazing Spider-Man: Issue 700 on Dec. 26 is final issue. Replaced by Superior Spider-Man in January. Same creative staff.
  2. Avenging Spider-Man: stays; will have the Superior Spider-Man.
  3. Scarlet Spider: They mentioned second year in the Dec. solicitations. Upgraded to survives.
  4. Venom: Made a big deal of Flash-Venom moving to Philly for December’s issue. Upgraded to surviving NOW!-pocalypse.
  5. Uncanny X-Men: DEAD AS OF OCTOBER 2012. It will be replaced by All-New X-Men, which Marvel did describe as the equivalent to when Avengers became New Avengers.
  6. Wolverine & the X-Men: surviving for “a second year” according to October’s solicitations.
  7. X-Men Legacy: ends in October 2012. Relaunchs. About Legion.
  8. X-Men: unknown.
  9. Astonishing X-Men: might survive after January.
  10. X-Treme X-Men: it launched in July 2012. It’s alternate-universe stuff. It will survive.
  11. Uncanny X-Force: December 2012 is the final issue. Relaunches in January while Cable & X-Force launches in December.
  12. New Mutants: ends in October 2012. Cannonball & Sunspot join Hickman’s Avengers. Still unknown about the rest of the team.
  13. X-Factor: Marvel said it is safe.
  14. Age of Apocalypse: Alternate universe book. Most likely survives.
  15. Wolverine: Final issue is December 2012.
  16. Gambit: Launched in August 2012. Will most likely survive.
  17. Deadpool: ends in October 2012. Relaunches in November.
  18. Avengers: ending in November 2012. Relaunches following month. Goes 2x a month, every month.
  19. New Avengers: ending in December 2012. Relaunches January 2013.
  20. Avengers Academy: Graduates/ends in November. Spiritual replacement: The Battle Royale/Hunger Games rip-off/cash-grab/inspired Avengers Arena.
  21. Secret Avengers: Relaunches in February as SHIELD-centric squad.
  22. Avengers Assemble: new arc begins in November; re-branded as a Marvel NOW! book.
  23. Dark Avengers: renamed from Thunderbolts in June 2012. Confirmed to stay.
  24. Captain America: ends in October 2012. Relaunches in November
  25. Captain America & …: ends in December.
  26. Winter Soldier: confirmed to survive. It may be missing from the December solicitations, but a new writer was revealed for it.
  27. Mighty Thor: ends in October 2012. Relaunches in November as Thor: God of Thunder.
  28. Journey Into Mystery: ending in October? Joins Marvel NOW! in November w/ Kathryn Immonen & Schiti.
  29. Invincible Iron Man: ending in October 2012. Relaunches in November as Iron Man.
  30. Fantastic Four: ends in October 2012. Relaunches in November.
  31. FF: ends in October 2012. Relaunches in November.
  32. Incredible Hulk: ends in October 2012. Relaunches in November as Indestructible Hulk.
  33. Hulk: transitions in October to Red She-Hulk. Will keep previous title’s number. Gets Marvel NOW!-branding
  34. Punisher: ends in September 2012; becomes 5-part miniseries Punisher: War Zone. Punisher will be a part of new Thunderbolts book in December.
  35. Daredevil: confirmed to stay post-NOW
  36. Defenders: ends in November 2012. Relaunch unknown.
  37. Captain Marvel: launched in July 2012. Most likely survives
  38. Hawkeye: launched in August 2012. Most likely survives.

Canned/Relaunching: 21

BTW, the only difference separating AoA/XtXM from the Ultimate books are their ties to the 616/main Marvel Universe
